How it works

Connected in minutes.
Watched around the clock.

Drop a read-only connector on your MetaTrader terminal and your account appears live on your dashboard — monitored continuously, with an alert the instant anything breaks. It reads your account; it never trades it.

Three steps

Live in a few minutes.

No account migration, no new broker, no downtime. Your EAs keep running exactly where they are — Stanchion just starts watching them.

1

Add the connector

Download the Stanchion connector from your dashboard and drop it on any chart in your MT4 or MT5 terminal, then paste in your token. A one-time, two-minute setup — it reports the whole account, read-only, and never places a trade.

2

Your account appears live

Within about 30 seconds it shows up on your dashboard — balance, gain, equity, floating P/L, drawdown and uptime, updating in near real time. Add as many accounts as your plan allows.

3

Get alerts & reports

Set your alert rules once — EA stopped, terminal offline, drawdown breached — and Stanchion tells you instantly by Telegram, email or push. A branded report lands on the 1st of each month, automatically.

The connector, honestly

What it watches — and what it doesn’t.

The connector is a small read-only add-on that sits on a spare chart and reports your account back to Stanchion in near real time. From that it watches three things: your terminal (is it online?), your EA (is it running and trading?), and your account (balance, equity, drawdown, open positions). If the terminal or VPS dies, the heartbeat stops arriving — and that’s your alert.

To be straight with you: it monitors the trading layer, not the box. It won’t report your VPS’s CPU or RAM — it tells you the thing that actually matters, which is whether your strategy is still running and your account is behaving. And it is strictly read-only: no trade permissions, no broker password, ever.

Clear division of roles

Who does what.

The line is simple: you run and control your trading; Stanchion watches it and tells you the moment something needs your attention. We never touch your trades or your funds.

Your responsibility

  • Run your EAs on your own terminal / VPS
  • Keep your broker account in your own name
  • Deposit and control your own funds
  • Choose your alert rules and thresholds
  • Make every trading decision
  • Bear all profits and losses

Stanchion’s responsibility

  • Read your account through the connector (read-only)
  • Show it live on your dashboard
  • Watch terminal, EA and account health 24/7
  • Alert you the instant something breaks
  • Send your automatic monthly report
  • Support you by email

You’ll need a broker account and a terminal running 24/7 (a VPS) — normal for serious EA traders, and something Stanchion doesn’t provide. New to this? We run our own accounts on IC Markets (opened in your own name), and monitoring works on any reputable VPS.
